LSVT LOUD
The Lee Silverman Voice Treatment is a type of speech therapy developed specifically for people with Parkinson’s. The programme helps people to recognise that their voice is too quiet and trains them to speak more loudly.

What is it?
LSVT LOUD is a highly effective, evidence-based speech therapy that improves communication and quality of life for Parkinson’s, Pediatrics, and other populations.

This dosage is consistent with principles of neuroplasticity and proven by years of research.
How does it work?
LSVT LOUD is a standardised treatment protocol that is customised to the unique communication goals of each client.

Focused on a single goal “speak LOUD!” – the treatment improves respiratory, laryngeal and articulatory function to maximise speech intelligibility. The treatment does not train people to shout or yell but uses loudness training to bring the voice to an improved, healthy vocal loudness with no strain.

Treatment always consists of:
1. 16 sessions, 4 consecutive days a week for 4 weeks
2. 60-minute one-on-one therapy sessions
3. Daily homework and carryover exercises
4. Personalised communication activities and goals

We offer LSVT in the comfort of your own home, at the Singer's Clinic Therapy Studio in Kidderminster, or remotely via online sessions.
Often, clients choose to have a mixture of sessions depending on their personal plans for the month they commit to the therapy (e.g. accessibility to transport, planning sessions around other commitments, etc.)
