Referrals from Singing Teachers

I am passionate about empowering singers by providing them with the knowledge and skills to navigate any voice problems life might throw at them. One of the best ways to help individuals achieve strong, healthy voices to last a lifetime is via their own singing teachers and vocal coaches.

In normal times, if one of your students is struggling with a vocal health issue that has lasted more than 2 weeks, you would refer them to GP to request an ENT consultation and endoscopic evaluation. Currently, due to the COVID 19 pandemic there are differences in how ENT reviews are carried out in the UK for certain patients. Some initial ENT assessments are occurring remotely and previously mandatory initial assessment with ENT prior to SLT management is no longer a prerequisite to treatment. With ENT go-ahead SLTs are currently able to see Voice Patients prior to endoscopic assessment. The latest update from RCSLT regarding this can be found here.

If the problem has persisted for less than 2 weeks please do contact me for an informal discussion regarding any vocal issues. I am here and able to provide remote advice via telephone or online video consultation for you or your students.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
